Our Commitment At Holoneon Grid: we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to our web presence and grid infrastructure.
Web Accessibility: We strive to make our website accessible to all users by adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. Our efforts include:
- Ensuring high color contrast for text readability.
- Providing text alternatives (alt text) for non-text content.
- Supporting keyboard-only navigation for account registration and management.
Grid & Viewer Accessibility: We understand that 3D virtual environments pose unique challenges for assistive technology. To address this, we support and encourage the use of accessible tools to connect to our grid.
- Text-Based Access: We officially support the use of the Radegast Metaverse Client, a text-based viewer designed for blind and visually impaired users.
- Epilepsy Safety: We maintain a policy against malicious scripts that produce rapid flashing or strobing effects in public hub areas to protect users with photosensitive epilepsy.
Known Limitations: While we strive for inclusivity, some content on Holoneon Grid is user-generated. Consequently, we cannot guarantee that every region, script, or 3D object created by residents will be fully accessible. We encourage our content creators to name objects descriptively and avoid barriers to navigation.
